Hello,

Since this morning (we have installed multiple cpanels for more than 4 months), we have a cPanel that all email accounts with an autoresponder associated (active or inactive) have the following behaviour:

When someone send an email to these accounts, cpanel user receive the email but the sender receive an error message like below:
Code:
---
This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

pipe to |/usr/local/cpanel/bin/autorespond [email protected] /home/receiver/.autorespond
generated by [email protected]

The following text was generated during the delivery attempt:

------ pipe to |/usr/local/cpanel/bin/autorespond [email protected] /home/receiver/.autorespond

We look for a solution, and all looks ok (exim configuration, msfe configuration, php configuration,...). We checked permissions with another cPanel that works correctly and all are ok.

What I forget to check? Any idea? Why it happened?

We opened a ticket to cpanel support: 8639563

Thank you!

We've ran into the exact same issue this morning please can you update how to fix.
Is the affected server using CloudLinux with CageFS? If so, does the issue continue after running the "cagefsctl --update" command?

Thank you.
