Autoresponder sending blank email's

Greetings:

I seem to have an account with a broken autoresponder. If I remove all autoresponders, and send an email to that account, it responds back with a blank message. If I re-create the autoresponder everything works (i.e. it sends the response with the correct text). Very odd.

I have checked to make sure everything was gone from .autoresponder (even deleted it for kicks and grins.) It does also reply back to anyone who sends an email to this account.

Any help would be appreciated. If this is a newbie question, feel free to flame me.

I have had odd things happen too with auro responders in the past.

I had found my problem (similar to yours) was caused by the page's source code being a little wacked.

The problem was alleviated by switching to a different Cpanel theme on. It had just been a page source code glitch in the one theme.

Does this only happen on one account? or on all accounts on that server?

Thanks for your reply. It only appears to be happening on the one account. We have several hundred on this particular server. All using the same theme. I'll see if I can find any others doing it.

Okay, I found the problem. /etc/valiases/domain.net had a line pointing to the .autorespond directory. Since .autorespond is a directory, it was sending the blank emails instead of the contents of a file located in that directory.
