Autoresponders not working

Hi all,
This morning a customer called me complaining because his autoresponder was not working (as in: was not replying to the sender with the message they setup). I tried it and actually it was not working at all.

So I created an autoresponder in another account, tried it and that new one was not working either.

I checked valiases for both domains and, for each email for which I setup an autoresponder, I have something like this:

[email protected]: "|/usr/local/cpanel/bin/autorespond [email protected] /home/domainuser/.autorespond"

Which is, I think, correct... the email is piped thru that command. The command on the other hand is not doing anything. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

As another hint, it works smoothly if the sender is not local. For local domains, the autoresponder does not work at all.
