Backup destination retain just one backup

Hi,
I want to ensure if that possible to retain more than one backup externally where we configured to retain one backup locally, since each time it makes backup it removes the locally and externally (Google Drive) too.

Is there anyway to change it for remote storage rather than manually move it to other directory (what I did now)?

You can set the retention locally to what you want for remote and then use a find command with the mtime option as a cron to delete them locally. This only works for compressed backups though not incremental otherwise you will damage your backups locally.

Actually I found to retain two backups locally (where just need one) and move that backup remotely to other folder once weekly, I found it easier an safer than use cron job so no risk at local server.
