Hey everybody,

I have a problem with the cPanel, and I need a little help.
After the last update I cant use "/" as "Directory" in "Add FTP account" - it gets replaced by "/public_html" after saving.

i.e. the root directory is:
/home/somedev/
and I want to create a FTP account that points to
/home/somedev/

In previous version I just inserted "/" to the input field, now, when I do that, it defaults to the "public_html", and I get the
/home/somedev/public_html/
as the result.

I need to be able to create the root ftp accounts for developers to work on the code.

Any ideas?

As I understand it from an internal case #61533, this behavior is not new, and is still here. A workaround was suggested by a cPanel Developer in that open case to use a . to create the addon FTP account. I can confirm this worked for me in my quick test. Give that a go and post back.

Thanks
