I would upgrade from Centos 7.9 to Almalinux but when I execute the elevate check

/scripts/elevate-cpanel --check --upgrade-to=almalinux

I receive (only) this error

  • 2023-03-09 09:24:24 [WARN] *** Elevation Blocker detected: ***
Your machine has multiple network interface cards (NICs) using kernel-names (ethX).
Since the upgrade process cannot guarantee their stability after upgrade, you cannot upgrade.
Please provide those interfaces new names before continuing the update.

Since I have no idea how to fix this issue I open a ticket with cPanel and they replied me

You'll need to work with your system administrator to rename the ethernet devices to something other than eth0/1. cPanel is unable to assist with this as mistakes can lead to the server losing networking and being inaccessible. I apologize for the inconvenience.

I contacted my datacenter , and they replied me

Scaleway Dedibox doesn't offer outsourcing support. On my end, I've check the forums and haven't found any solution.

So now what can I do to solve this problem ? Anyone can help me please ?

Hey there! cPanel doesn't directly support the hardware configuration of the server, so our reply from the technician in the ticket is correct. We also can't provide assistance to change those on our side as we'd hate to be the ones responsible for your server going offline. You can see why, as the process outlined here is a bit complicated:

I'm sorry I can't offer more direct assistance for this issue, but once the network names have been properly modified I would expect the ELevate script to work properly.
