Hello,
I recently changed the DNS records of a domain hosted in a cPanel server
and was wondering if unprotecting the mail.xxx record is OK to avoid issues with
email clients like Outlook is OK.

I've never understood the reasoning behind the proxying of mail in CF. Example:

_dc-mx.d90010a6xxxx.somedomain.ext

If that were a valid proxied entry, you could still easily do an nslookup/dig on it, and it would reveal the true IP of the server, and anyone could still DDOS it or engage in brute forcing of passwords. So why bother?

If there is some glaring (and sensible) reason that I'm not seeing, I'd be interested in hearing what it is from those who use CF.
