cPanel & WHM version 110 will be the last version that supports CentOS 7. Support for version 110 will end June 30, 2024

Which Linux Should We Choose?

We made it through CentOS a month ago on GCP as well.

With the current CentOS service termination notice (2024), I have a number of accounts that need to be transferred.

You will need to create a new additional account.

WHM has the following guidance.

We encourage you to migrate to an AlmaLinux 8 or CloudLinux™ 8 server

GCP and AWS have Alpha Linux, Ubuntu, and cPanel's Cloudlinux, which is not distributed by cPanel.

Which Linux based cPanel should we choose?

Which Linux services are most likely not moving support and detail accounts in the future?
Are you AlmaLinux?

Thanks for reading our article.
Looking at the forum, there was a problem about starting cPanel through Alpha Linux.

When setting up GCP, refer to the document below and there was no problem using the service.

Was the change updated?

Can I proceed with the Alpha Linux account in the same way?

Hey there! The following page lists the operating systems that work with cPanel:

so you'll want to choose one of those. AlphaLinux is not something we support.

At this point, if you are running a shared server, CloudLinux is the best choice. If you have more control over the users and content, AlmaLinux 8 is the way to go. We do plan on releasing support for AlmaLinux 9 before CentOS 7 reaches end-of-life.

Thanks for the answer, let's configure a new cloud on GCP with 'AlmaLinux'.
thank you
