Hello,

With PHP 5.5 coming to end of life I have been reviewing PHP on all of my servers.

Now I know that default PHP versions are supported post end of life by the operating system's development team for CentOS however in this case PHP is provided by cPanel.

I haven't seen any alerts via cPanel that it is coming to end of life just via PHP.net

Will support be continued?
What is everyone else doing?

Thanks in advance,
Rob.

Hello,

We've yet to release information on the PHP 5.5 End-Of-Life status. Generally, we create a blog post like we did for PHP 5.4:

Saying Goodbye to PHP 5.4 | cPanel Blog

End-Of-Life PHP versions are typically phased out over time by changing the default version on new installations, and by noting the EOL status in the EasyApache profile. This allows administrators to upgrade PHP versions on their own time frame, as sometimes manual intervention is required if scripts do not function the same way on the new version.

Thank you.
