In Progress CPANEL-43009 - AWStats update 7.8 -> 7.9

Hi,

AWstats 7.9 is available since January 2023 (see: AWStats - Free advanced log file analyzer for web, ftp or mail statistics (GNU GPL)). In WHM I can't find how to manually update the version of AWstats. All server software is up-to-date.

Does the update to 7.9 come in automatically with an update of the future server software?

Hey there! This is a package that cPanel controls on the machine, which can be determined from the name:

#rpm -qa | grep -i awstats
cpanel-awstats-7.8-1.cp108~el8.noarch

I've reached out to the team to see if there is an update planned as I didn't see any development work when I checked just now. I'll let you know what I find out!
