Tried to remove the lock file of the service cpanel-dovecot-solr and alsp restarted both cpanel-dovecot-solr and cpanel_dovecot_solr by killing the dovecot process.

In the backend, the service is running fine. However, in the WHM it shows down.

Have you made modifications to your max process limits?
Starting Apache Solr for cPanel Dovecot: *** [WARN] *** Your Max Processes Limit is currently 1024.
It should be set to 65000 to avoid operational disruption.
If you're reaching this you may run into issues with service checks and normal functioning of the system
