We currently have cPanel and CloudLinux licenses for 1 server (VPS) and we want to purchase an additional license since we are changing our architecture such that we have 2 servers which will be load balanced by a S/W load balancer, the LB will be assigned the current public IP while the 2 servers will each have a private IP.

Is this the best approach or there's a better way to achieve the desired high availability configuration. Please also advice on licensing model/option or approach.

Hello,

There's no native support for load balancing, but I encourage you to add feedback and vote for the existing feature requests at:

Built-in load balancing, replication, high availability
Active-Active Redundancy or High-availability

You can also review the comment sections to see examples of how other users have configured it. You will need a separate cPanel license for each server with cPanel installed, and a public IP address is required for license verification on each server.

Additional license inquires should be addressed to our Customer Service Department.

Thanks!
