cPanel reseller to dedicated migration

reseller account has no ssh access and I am trying to migrate accounts to a dedicated server with cpanel as well.

I get the following error after uploading the backup tar ball in the new dedicated server then using whm<backup<restore full backup/cpmove

Please try transferring the account via:

"WHM Home » Transfers » Copy an Account From Another Server With an Account Password"

Does this allow the account to transfer successfully?

so in this case i know just the reseller password and not the password of individual accounts

Try generating a backup for a different account and uploading it to the destination server again. Does it also fail to restore successfully?

yes it fails to restore correctly

both backup.tar and cp-move.tar.gz fail

some backup.tar are successful however

Unfortunately, it's difficult to troubleshoot the issue without root access to the source server. Are you able to contact your hosting provider on the source server to let them know the backups of your accounts are corrupted?
