Hi Everyone,

i have CentOS release 6.8 with Cpanel Version 11.58.0.12
Recently we expiriance an issue where swap is overloading .

two days ago i restarted services Apache&Mysql
and i saw swap is not going down so we had to use swapoff -a.

now it is back again to the same situation!

here is some more info :

[~]# free -h
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 7.7G 7.0G 730M 2.1G 219M 4.4G
-/+ buffers/cache: 2.4G 5.3G
Swap: 3.9G 2.3G 1.5G


[~]# swapon --summary

but before we opening a ticket can you give me some steps to do before ?
we dont want to give root access to the server and this is what you request when opening a ticket-

can you please give me more leads ?

Well thanks.
after some checking i discovered VMTOOLS trying to install itself got stuck and apparently it was what
swapping.
i could see this via vmtools log and when trying to edit Cpanel machine via vcenter it told me i cant make any changes as a vmtools is in a middle of installing.
