I've shared a bit about what we're doing and when you can expect it over in https://forums.cpanel.net/threads/102-edge-version-new-whm-theme.696921/page-5#post-2904293. For the most part, everything I've listed in that post is targeted to arrive in v102 prior to it going to the RELEASE update tier. I say "for the most part" because we do need to retain some 'wiggle room' to reschedule things if needed.@cPRex and the team, thanks for listening and glad you're working on the feedback received. One request from my end would be to share with us the list of items the team is planning to incorporate into Jupiter along with a release estimate so that there's clear visibility for us. Right now, it's hard to tell from the blog post whether my request to add back "UI Includes" is being considered or not and if it's going to be landing in v102. Similarly, if there are feedback items the team is most definitely not planning to add back in Jupiter, would appreciate if those are listed as well.
In terms of things we are not going to do, I hesitate to really outright say 'no, never' to things. I did not mention 'dark mode' in that list even though we got feedback from quite a few people that Jupiter is pretty dang bright right now. We're very keen on providing not only a dark mode but a handful of color schemes that hopefully will fit the bill. Its just more than we can do right this very second and would delay 102-Release unacceptably.
It is certainly something we want to get right because there's considerable work throughout the UI to standardize our use of colors...not to mention accessibility concerns and aesthetic concerns as well.
Everyone can actually help us out when it comes to dark mode by taking the "Jupiter Theme Feedback" survey in https://blog.cpanel.com/we-want-to-hear-from-you/. It's got a few questions in there around dark mode, your eyesight, and your lighting conditions where you typically encounter cPanel & WHM's user interfaces.
