RHEL 6.0 was released like almost 3 months ago and still no word from cPanel if they plan to support it anytime soon. 5.6 Will be supported without a doubt (no major changes from 5.5).

As for 6.0 -> my personal opinion is that they wont support it until they will remake cPanel with RPM update style + possibly delivering their own binaries such as perl and so on.

The release notes don't detail anything for RHEL/CentOS 5.6 that would preclude it from being supported.

We are currently working on support for RHEL/CentOS 6 for inclusion in cPanel & WHM version 11.30, with back-merge candidacy for version 11.28.

Can you provide us with any ETA (even a rough one) on 11.30 release date? It would be great to know so we can make some educated decisions if we should try to hold launching any new cPanel servers until RHEL 6 support is complete. Personally I really hate to install CentOS / RHEL 5 on new hardware at this point.

5.6 is out now. has anyone installed it? does it improve performance or suck up resources?
has upgrading from 5.5 broke anything?
I can re-confirm, we run on all our server 5.6 with 11.30.x without a single issue.

Nothing to be afraid about, updates from the same tree (5.x, 4.x 6.x, whatever.x) don't change software versions
that could cause incompatibilities (for example 5.x keeps php 5.1.x from the beginning and so on...)

Does anybody tried cPanel 11.30 over CentOS 6? everything work ok?
I have to migrate 300 domains from an old server with CentOS 4 to a new server with CentOS 6. Should I be aware of any compatibility issue?
