I am getting massive numbers of notifications:
FAILED: cpanel_php_fpm, HANG: chkservd, FAILED: spamd, High 5 minue load average alert, FAILED: clamd, etc.

Previously I got an update failure notice: cPanel & WHM update failure in upcp script

The cPanel & WHM update process failed for the following reason:
Maintenance ended; however, it did not exit cleanly (256). The following events were logged: “scripts/restartsrv_eximstats” and “scripts/setup_modsec_db”. Review the update logs to determine why the update failed. I don't know if this is related to the notifications and non-responsive cpanel.

How do I get up and running again?

Hey there! It might be a good idea to open two shell sessions and monitor the server's resource usage in one window while you run "/scripts/upcp --force" in the other, to see if the server is running into issues during the update itself. If you already have few available resources, this could indicate another, deeper issue with the machine.
