Hello everyone

I've had a look round for an answer, but to be honest I'm completely stuck, so apologies in advance for being a noob.

I look after the website for the Isle of Man Family History Society - a small group. The host is Manx Telecom and I've used cpanel to set up a SQL database. I've been working with my database and a front end template manager and everything was working fine.

But overnight it appears that the DBD::mysql perl module has been removed. When looking at the Perl Modules option in cpanel there is nothing there. I've attached a screenshot - each option I press there's nothing there, and that's searching for DBD::mysql too.

So what I'm trying to find is how to install DBD::mysql. I've been to the cpan website and the installation information is there: DBD::mysql::INSTALL - How to install and configure DBD::mysql - metacpan.org but it talks about it being on Windows, Red Hat etc. But how do I get it onto my cpanel?

Unfortunately Manx Telecom support is only available Monday to Friday via email.

thank you

Hello,

If this perl module isn't coming up in the "find a perl module" interface you've added a screenshot for you'd need to contact your provider for more information. Searching for the module on my server produces a result. dbd_mysql.png
