Delete Subdomain - Document Root Left Behind

Hi. I noticed that if I delete a Subdomain it will delete the domain but not the document root. Why not? I hate leaving a mess behind. Any issues with the document root being left behind? I ask because the Subdomain that I want to delete is going to be created as a main domain. I'm assuming that the new document root naming scheme would be different so one would think there shouldn't be any issues..... but I thought I'd ask just in case. Thank you.

Hey there! I'm honestly not sure why we handle the subdomains that way, but it's always been that way. There is no issue with manually removing the directory/contents once the subdomain is removed from the system.

I'm assuming if I deleted the parent domain that its own document root along with the deleted subdomains document root that was left behind would be removed? Just curious. Thank you for your time and help with answering my questions.

Yes, if you delete the main account then everything under it will be removed completely.
