Changing the homedir of a cPanel account's primary domain is not functionality we natively support in cPanel/WHM at this time. As a result, I wouldn't recommend changing it.

Or are you referring to the homedir for subdomains and addon domains?

I have to change it David, i want to use my second HDD (/home2) for backing up the accounts only and whm have created some accounts there.
WHM will automatically recognize any partition that starts with /home (e.g. /home2) as a location to provision new accounts.

If you want to move these accounts back to /home, please use the Rearrange Accounts function in the WHM interface under "Account Functions."

Additionally, if you do not want cPanel/WHM to use that drive as a second home directory, you may wish to consider not partitioning that second drive as /home2. If it is strictly for backing up accounts, partition it as /backup and configure cPanel/WHM to use it as a backup partition by going to WHM -> Backups -> Configure Backup
