Hi guys,

I have a "master" CPANEL server (with 50-ish domains) which have a DNS cluster with a DNSONLY server. This works very well.

I'm also managing several standalone CPANEL servers for clients.
Is it possible to manage DNS for local domains from these CPANEL servers, and then mirror these zones to my master+DNSONLY DNS cluster?
So that all my client's CPANEL servers can manage their own DNS zones and changes are copied to my central DNS cluster? (without removing/replacing zones from the other clients' servers)

Reading the DNS Cluster manual, it seems possible. Next question would then be which DNS role to use. Shall I use synchronize or write-only?

Any suggestions/Comments?

THANKS!

You could set up the standalone servers to write only to your DNSOnly servers - this would allow for them to continue to manage DNS locally and you wouldn't need to remove or replace anything.
