Hello,

I wonder if anyone can help - When you change the primary domain on a cPanel account to another domain name the email accounts get renamed from the "original" domain to the "new" domain.

But what happens if you add the "original" domain back in as an addon domain? I have seen it a few times where those original email accounts are restored. But I'm just wondering if that happens all the time or is there a grace period?

Hey there! To test this, I did the following:

-created a domain named emailtest.com
-added an email account of [email protected]
-used the WHM >> Modify an Account interface to change the domain name to otherdomain.com
-confirmed the email address changed to [email protected]
-accessed cPanel >> Domains to create the addon domain
-checked cPanel >> Email Accounts
-confirmed the email address was still "[email protected]"

With that test, I wasn't able to confirm the behavior you're seeing.
