Hello,
I was following the indications on this URL https://support.cpanel.net/hc/en-us/articles/360055195553-How-to-change-the-SSH-port for changing the SSH port but I got this error during the last step, when I restarted the sshd service

Log Messages
Feb 15 08:40:08 s2 sshd[930]: Server listening on :: port 2222.
Feb 15 08:40:08 s2 sshd[930]: Server listening on 0.0.0.0 port 2222.
Feb 15 08:40:08 s2 sshd[969]: Received signal 15; terminating.
Feb 15 08:39:22 s2 sshd[717]: Failed password for root from 200.52.80.34 port 48450 ssh2
Feb 15 08:39:20 s2 sshd[717]: pam_succeed_if(sshd:auth): requirement "uid >= 1000" not met by user "root"

So I was wondering what may be wrong

Seems someone from IP 200.52.80.34 trying to login as root.

If you are able to login it's not a problem, that just happened the same time when you changed the port.

What @quietFinn said - that's just a failed login from a random IP address, and happened to be the most recent log entry before you changed the port. Now that you've changed the port, you won't see that happen again as automated bots won't even know what port number to try to connect to.
