I am trying to put a spam/virus filter appliance in front of cpanel. The spam/virus box passes the mail then the cpanel box kicks it back. Here is the error message when I do a test from the spam/virus box.

Error performing SMTP test:
Connected to mail.penlands.com:25 session output follows:
220-spud.databrook.net ESMTP Exim 4.34 #1 Thu, 01 Jul 2004 15:53:49 -0400

Here is the dns entry for one of the accounts.

pXXXXX.com. 14400 IN A 66.XX.XX.XX

localhost.XXXXXX.com. 14400 IN A 127.0.0.1

XXXXX.com. 14400 IN MX 0 mailgw.eeee.com.

mail 14400 IN CNAME pXXXXXX.com.
www 14400 IN CNAME pXXXXXX.com.
ftp 14400 IN A 66.XX.XX.XX
pXXXXX.com. 14400 IN MX 10 pXXXXX.com.

I have also put the file /etc/alwaysrelay in place

Any ideals

Go on, have a guess
You haven't said what the problem is. The only information you've given is the SMTP connect which looks fine:
Connected to mail.penlands.com:25 session output follows:
220-spud.databrook.net ESMTP Exim 4.34 #1 Thu, 01 Jul 2004 15:53:49 -0400
220-We do not authorize the use of this system to transport unsolicited,
Did you mean to post more of the output with an error in it?

The problem

Sorry, The problem is that the cpanel box thinks my spam/virus appliance is trying to relay off of it. It is refusing to except mail from the spam/virus appliance. The appliance I am talking about is call barracuda.
