Filter/Block Incoming Emails by Domain in EXIM not working

Hi, I have a few domains listed, but I'm still receiving emails from that blocked domain.

I've followed instructions here and added the block using the asterisk idea e.g.: *.abcexample.com

I'm assuming the above will block as follows:

any email with [email protected]
any subdomain as follows: [email protected]

Is that right? Or do I need to add two, one for domain and the other for wildcard? e.g.

abcexample.com
AND
*.abcexample.com

If so, why am I still receiving emails from blocked domains?
