I have a user who develops with frontpage and uses frontpage extensions. The problem is an order form her created. Whenever anyone tries to submit to the form using the shared ssl a security error pops up. In the apache error log it stats the problem is there is not key for ssl. My provider has looked it over and can\'t find any problems with my ssl. He is submitting it to cpanel tech support but I was hoping someone here may know the fix.

here is the error that is being generated in the apache error log:

[Fri Oct 19 18:29:48 2001] [error] mod_ssl: Init: Private key not found (OpenSSL library error follows)
[Fri Oct 19 18:29:48 2001] [error] OpenSSL: error:0D084069:asn1 encoding routines:d2i_ASN1_SET:bad tag
[Fri Oct 19 18:29:48 2001] [error] OpenSSL: error:0D09D082:asn1 encoding routines:d2i_RSAPrivateKey:parsing
[Fri Oct 19 18:29:48 2001] [error] OpenSSL: error:0D09B00D:asn1 encoding routines:d2i_PrivateKey:ASN1 lib

Thanks in advance for any help...

I don\'t think that SSL is possible through a FP form handler :-( never has been.

Then what your basically saying is anyone that develops in frontpage can\'t use secure forms. I never heard of that.

Been that way since about ..oh lets see... 1997 when I had my first site on a Alabanza box. If you take a look at the url that FP sends the confirm to you will have a clue about why. It\'s the way FP has made the form handler.

Tell your client to keep their form but go in and change the post line to point to your /cgi-sys/FormMail.cgi and add a hidden field called receipiant and make the value of the emial address that form get sent to. FormMail.cgi will pass just about anything as output.
