Generated SSL CSR files not working with Thawte

Hey does anyone know why the cert signing request files the Cpanel genrates won\'t work with the Thawte.com website?
When I go to thawte I select apache-mod_ssl
as the server, then paste in the CSR.

\"It says error reading the DER CSR\"

Am I doing something wrong?
