Hi!
My problem is that gmail gives the following error message to the e-mail sender when sent to an address hosted on cPanel which is forwarded (with forwarder) to a gmail address:
****@gmail.com
(ultimately generated from ***@*******.tld)
host gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com [142.250.102.26]
SMTP error from remote mail server after end of data:
550-5.7.1 [IP of cPanel host] Messages missing a valid messageId header are not
550 5.7.1 accepted. w4-20020a05640234c400b0043a9bb390d3si6561669edc.278 - gsmtp
I have read the threads regarding the same issue:
forums.cpanel.net
forums.cpanel.net
forums.cpanel.net
forums.cpanel.net
I have tried adding the "submission/sender_retain" stuff to probably the right place, but no change.
What can I be missing and why is this even needed?
Please help me!
Thanks,
Daniel

missing message-id GMAIL failures - exim local smtp - which hosts to use
In the acl_smtp_predata: custom_begin_smtp_predata to compensate for missing message-id when a website's program doesn't send one, I wish to use: control = submission/sender_retain (Gmail for one are rightfully rejecting them: Messages missing a valid messageId header are not\n550 5.7.1...
EXIM not compensating for missing message-id
I am not seeing any message-id in emails customer is sending via SMTP connection. My understanding is that it is default EXIM behavior. I only see some help text re: suppress_local_fixups in exim advanced editor, I cannot locate that directive, so I believe it is not present. What else may...
