has anything changed with the backup chron

For many years, my backups have run daily, with a 1 day retention.
Only today when I investigated why the backup folder was four times it's normal size did I notice that it's now perfoming a weekly backup and retained four copies.

I entered in to the backup GUI and found it's configured for daily with a single retention period.
I've saved the changes, and I'm hoping over the next few days that this is back to normal.

I can only assume a recent update to 106.0.9 has done something to upset this.

Any thoughts please ???
