Hey there! On that machine, are you able to successfully run a "yum update" command? If not, I would expect that gives you more detail about the problems on the system, such as any timeouts or issues with the package system.
It doesn't matter when you run that command as it should always work properly. If you try it now, it just could give us more details on what is happening with the machine.
