High load when transfer accounts

Hi,

I'm in the middle of transferring large accounts using the WHM transfer utility the only problem is that this is a working production server and while transferring the load often peaks above 60-90 which renders the server useless.

Is there any way to help the process or limit the transfer process/zip using larges amounts of resources. Even though I’m moving accounts during off peak hours, it's not all ways off peak in other parts of the world.

nope I've done this before and it does cause issues

although you probably could go into shell and zip the files up into a tar or a zip before you start the transfer
