I was provided an institutional mail address from my university. Its cPanel based. But the problem is that they only provided 25 MB of space which is very small for me and fills up pretty soon. My university uses Roundcube email client.

Now I want to recieve those mails directly to my Outlook app on my computer.

Is it possible? If not, then what can I do to fix this issue?

(I need to recieve these mails to my Outlook app and not anywhere else so please refrain from suggesting Gmail client or something else)

(I'm not very expert in IT stuff so please elaborate briefly what I can do to fix this)

Hello,

The only method to receive mail directly to Outlook is to host email on Outlook's mailserver. Unfortunately, since your University is hosting mail locally, this would not be possible with their setup. However, you could configure a POP3 email client to download email off of the server and free up space from the 25MB limit on the server. Alternatively, you could create a mail filter on the account to forward email to an external account and delete it from the server. Just in case it helps, I'll include documentation on our email filters below:

I didn't fully understand your solution.
I want to do the following things:
An email is sent to my mail address by someone. It gets received into my university's server and stays there until I turn on my PC. When I turn on my PC, the mail is received into my Outlook app and then the mail gets deleted from my university's sever. But the mail doesn't get deleted from my outlook app and stays there untill I delete it.

Please elaborate briefly how I can do this.

Thank you

I think the problem is that he is using IMAP, when he should use POP3 instead  When using IMAP emails stay in the server, but when using POP3 emails are downloaded to the mail client, and deleted from the mail server.

^^ Exactly this

The OP just needs to change his mail configuration in Outlook from IMAP to POP3 or at least set IMAP in Outlook to not keep a copy on the server.

@Alex12345 - what you've described is how all mail clients work. Can you let me know specifically what isn't working with regards to deleting the message?
Whenever a mail gets received in my University's mail server, it stays there. Whenever I turn on my PC, it gets received in my PC's outlook client. But it stays in my varsity's web server too. Whenever I try to delete any mail from either of those servers, it gets deleted from both the varsity's server and outlook client. This needs to be fixed. I need the mails to get automatically deleted from varsity's server but the mails will stay in my Outlook client.

If you search for "outlook switch from pop to imap" you'll find various methods depending on what version of Outlook you're using.
I changed from IMAP to POP3. Now the mails are not getting deleted from my outlook client whenever I delete from server.
Now how can I configure Outlook in such a way that my outlook client will automatically delete the mails from the server after they are received in my PC but won't delete the mails from my PC?

You aren't going to be able to have it both ways. Both IMAP and POP have the option to leave email on the server, but you'll need to decide how you primarily check email and stick with that system.

From that last description it sounds like you want POP, without the option to keep the mail on the server.
