Hello guys,

I want to install cPanel with a trial license before proceeding with the purchase but the installation gets stuck at " Updating cPanel license... Updating cpanel license for new binaries."

Hey there! Usually when this happens it is due to an issue with the server's firewall not allowing the proper connections to our licensing machines. Can you ensure the following ports are opened for traffic?

hello,

Thanks for your answer.

I've already stopped and disabled the firewalld service on centos7.

do I need to open ports even when the firewall is stopped and disabled ?

Most likely not, although it's possible the ports may not be open at a level higher than your server.

An easy test would be to run the following command from the server's terminal, which will test the connection to our licensing servers:

Code:
telnet 208.74.121.82 2089
Note: your server may not have "telnet" installed, but you can do that simply with "yum install telnet"

Can you try that and see if you are able to make that connection?

I've tried the command you provided me and i think that I'm able to make that connection through that port as you can see in the picture attached.

are there some other ports that I need to test the connection to?

Thanks
