Are advanced DropBox business accounts secure enough for storing backups & sensitive data? I currently store backups on a different drive outside the raid, but it’s still all connected to the same server & datacenter. Cloud storage seems like a great tertiary option for any sort of catastrophic failure when hosting a network with a single datacenter.

Is the higher encryption of transfers & 2FA enough to prevent the data from being intercepted or compromised in some way, such as data breaches at Dropbox, with the advanced business plan?

Hi @Moobs,

There's some discussion of this topic on the following StackExchange thread:

Is it safe to use Dropbox in its present state?

Additionally, I encourage you to join the discussion on the following feature request that requests encryption of the backup archive on the cPanel server:

Backups - encryption of backups (symmetric and asymmetric)

Thank you.
