Seems good as far as it goes. Never could get it to load in Firefox. Assume we will see similar docs for WHM? Hopefully more in depth?

I think you can do some optimize on it for firefox.
The UI is pretty nice and it is content is more better than the old one.

Please keep the comments coming. We are still working on getting these updated and together. The new WHM documentation is in progress, and close to being completed.

Note: We will have someone on staff to update the docs and implement suggestions that we believe will improve the documentation.

This Planet
Question Regarding Permission To Do This:

ProxyPass /cphelp/ http://www.cpdocs.com/docs/
ProxyPassReverse /cphelp/ http://www.cpdocs.com/docs/

So that the skel page moved on new accounts have the help documentation appear as being accessible from the domain (obviously with the index.shtml page edited to contain the same)

Yes i have mod_proxy installed.
Any disadvantage of doing this?

Thanks

PDF Version

Some of our users have mentioned they would like a PDF version, or at least a version that flowed nicely to enable printing of the whole manual.

Possibly not sure if this is possible, but a reseller version of the WHM manual so they dont have to print off as much. (If you wanted to get even more posh this could be integrated into WHM, so a manual is created automagically when a reseller is created, and so the user has a link in their WHM)

Would be nice to have an accessible version that didn't rely on flash and javascript.

Will these docs be translatable? Some of us can't use the English docs...

Why did the staff choose for Flash it's the most irritating to use.
if you whant a smart sollution to a manual use WikiWiki then every one can contribute to the manual.

Flash looks nice, but I personally HATE it for menus. Let me explain.

I use Firefox. My middle mouse button is set to open links in a new tab. I use this feature more often than anything in the browser because I hate the back button and don't like to use my place. I know there are many others that have similar web browsing habits (even a lot of IE users use the "open link in a new window" feature regularly).

Usability wise, Flash flat out stinks. Sure, they've come a long, long way since their earlier days, but they still have one heck of a long way to go. In my opinion a context menu for a right-click/hold-click is one of the most important enhancements that's gone undeveloped in Flash.

I wouldn't expect cPanel to change a menu that's taken time to license & develop ($999 Full/$499 Upgrade for Robohelp, I believe), but IMHO, using this system is a serious no-no as far as usability is concerned (especially for documentation).

But don't get me wrong...it looks nice and is leaps and bounds ahead of the past cPanel docs. So a huge Thanks goes out to cPanel for making an outstanding effort to improve in an area in which they were seriously lacking!
