I get the error below when trying yum update.

One of the configured repositories failed (MariaDB106),
and yum doesn't have enough cached data to continue. At this point the only
safe thing yum can do is fail. There are a few ways to work "fix" this:

     1. Contact the upstream for the repository and get them to fix the problem.

     2. Reconfigure the baseurl/etc. for the repository, to point to a working
upstream. This is most often useful if you are using a newer
distribution release than is supported by the repository (and the
packages for the previous distribution release still work).

     3. Run the command with the repository temporarily disabled
            yum --disablerepo=MariaDB106 ...

     4. Disable the repository permanently, so yum won't use it by default. Yum
will then just ignore the repository until you permanently enable it
again or use --enablerepo for temporary usage:

            yum-config-manager --disable MariaDB106
        or
            subscription-manager repos --disable=MariaDB106

     5. Configure the failing repository to be skipped, if it is unavailable.
Note that yum will try to contact the repo. when it runs most commands,
so will have to try and fail each time (and thus. yum will be be much
slower). If it is a very temporary problem though, this is often a nice
        compromise:

            yum-config-manager --save --setopt=MariaDB106.skip_if_unavailable=true

failure: repodata/repomd.xml from MariaDB106: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try.
http://yum.mariadb.org/10.6/centos7-amd64/repodata/repomd.xml: [Errno 14] HTTP Error 404 - Not Found

Often errors like this can be resolved by running `yum makecache`

System update process has finished.

Today I noticed that repos for Centos 7 versions higher than Mariadb 10.2 were deleted but I couldn't find an official explanation. Does anyone know what causes the problem?

Hey there! We aren't sure either, but we've reached out to MariaDB to see what's going on. I don't have anything to report yet except that this is an upstream issue and not something cPanel can resolve, but once I hear back I'll be sure to post more details.

Update - it looks like MariaDB has adjusted their mirrors and things are working well again. If you're still seeing issues, try the typical commands of:

Code:
yum clean all
yum makecache
before performing an update and I would expect things to work well at this point.

Hi all, I'm getting this error:

Error: Failed to download metadata for repo 'MariaDB105': Cannot download repomd.xml: Cannot download repodata/repomd.xml: All mirrors were tried

Edit: Seems to be all fixed now. :)

Unfortunately the problem persists.

All installations in the data center have stopped since yesterday!

When we select Mysql 5.7 > MariaDB 10.6, it automatically installs 10.2.,

checkyum version 22.3 (excludes: bind-chroot)
Ensuring that the package “MariaDB-client” with version matching “10.2” is available.

Isn't there an easy solution?

MariaDB told us it was solved at 12:30 yesterday, so it could be things were still settling on their end. Are things looking better for everyone today?

this is not solution...

For people seeing issues with MariaDB updates, the following document should be helpful:

but that is unrelated to yesterday's issue with the repositories not working.
