Hey there!

In order to globally customize SpamAssassin, we would recommend editing the /etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf file, as that should not get overwritten during updates.

I was able to find an article that suggests adding the following entry at the end of /etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf to disable Pyzor:

Code:
score PYZOR_CHECK 0
https://sourceforge.net/p/pyzor/mailman/pyzor-users/thread/Pine.BSO.4.44.0311071400590.10765-100000%40ns1.thunderstar.net/#msg1449253

I would suggest giving this a try and then restarting SpamAssassin afterward to see if this allows Pyzor to remain disabled.

It's not working on my server, keep giving me time-out error even though Port 24441 is open.
Uses UDP port 24441 not tcp is what I read
Maybe you have udp port not open ? 24441

They were opened, both UDP and TCP. I suspected the timeout needed to be higher but I have set it as 5 second and still got the same error. How much is the usualy time needed for pyzor check?

Just an update. After upgrading to CPanel 102.0.19, Pyzor worked, no more error regarding permission and socket. etc. However I have different issue now. Every now and then it errors when it hits certain emails. When that happens, spamd doesn't write log on certain emails - those with spam score below what I set to discard. I'm not sure if it makes sense. I will post another thread on this.
