Problem with DomainKeys & SPF

Hi

I hope someone can help me with an unusual problem I've discovered when activating DomainKeys & SPF for some of my accounts in Cpanel.
For some reason .co.uk accounts/domains work perfectly, while .com's give the message "Enabled, WARNING: DomainKeys cannot be used because this server is not a DNS server for <domainname>".

I am in the process of moving hosts, both hosts are on WHM & Cpanel, I have root access to both.

I have around 15 websites which I am slowly moving from the old to the new. I have noticed that when opening Email Authentication in Cpanel for any of the .com accounts the page takes up to 20 seconds to load and when I then activate DomainKeys and SPF it gives the warning message.

When I do the same for a .co.uk account, the Email Authentication page opens immediately and I get an Active (in green) message to say the DomainKeys & SPF are enabled successfully.

I cannot for the life of me work out why this should be the case?! The old host has all the domain names, I have just changed the nameservers on their registrar service to point to my new nameservers on the new server, the same for .co.uk's as for .com's.

I have compared the old nameserver setup on the old server to the new but cannot see a difference (other than IP's of course!), any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Rich

Just as a quick follow up to this I've checked old and new domains SPF records and all come back saying they have passed validation.

SPF record passed validation test with pySPF (Python SPF library)!

Accounts on the old host where the SPF record says its active (green) gives the same validation passed result as those on the new server where it gives the warning (red) message.

I'm now even more confused as it all seems to be working just giving me conflicting messages?! If anyone else has experienced this I'd be grateful to hear of it and confirm if its nothing to worry about.

Thanks

Can anyone point me in a direction to start checking this?

The domainkeys and spf checks give a warning and there remains a long delay accessing the Email Authentication page on CPanel .com accounts, while .co.uk accounts go to the page immediately. I can't think why this would be the case so really appreciate anyone who can point me in a direction to look?!

Thanks

Please open up a ticket if you have root SSH and root WHM access to the machine. You can do that in WHM > Support Center > Contact cPanel or using the link in my signature. It's actually relatively difficult to check why it might be happening via the forum, since we don't have access to the error logs nor are able to check how the DNS is setup without direct server access.
