Problems with MailScanner

Hi friends!

Between Thursday and Friday of last week, all e-mails on the server were blocked. It took several hours before we discovered that MailScanner was blocking the emails. By disabling MailScanner all email accounts were back up and running.
This has caused a serious problem with our customers who called and were very concerned about the service interruption. Some of them told us that if it happened again they would leave our company.

In the meantime we have deactivated MailScanner.

I would like to know if the same thing has happened to anyone and if you can rely on this application or there is another solution to manage spam from WHM.

We had a similar issue recently whereby all mail was suddenly being queued in the Mailscanner queue .We found that an update was available. Updating Mailscanner resolved the problem. Not sure if this is the problem you were having though.

I had something similar.
I'm sooooooooo busy at the moment, (all days, nights, weeks blend in to one), so I'm not sure if it was Friday the 5th or Friday the 12th of march.
On one of those fridays , I performed a server software/whm/yum update.
On the Saturday I noticed that Mailscanner had stopped responding since the server updates.
Nothing in any mailboxes.

I forced an update of mailscanner, and it burst in to life.
As far as I could tell, nothing was lost, just not delivered on time.
