It seems that there is some sort of a Wordpress / LiteSpeed / CloudLinux issue that's causing this, reported here by a whole lot of people:

https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/39338

And I have just experienced that on PHP 7.3, Apache, no LiteSpeed (even though php73-litespeed extension is enabled in EasyApache package, and there's no way of disabling it without disabling 80% of other required extensions either).

Scroll down to the bottom 15-20 comments on that ticket above and you'll see details and responses from LiteSpeed guys on what's really going on, and now I am wondering is cPanel aware of this issue on Apache as well? Because I just witnessed it myself... had a 500GB error_log created in about 15-20 minutes, almost crashed my whole server.

So this ticket is incredibly old, started 3 years ago and the last response is 9 months ago.

This isn't a random error log, it's the PHP error log being referenced. Is this also what you're seeing? What are the errors in the log?

The php 7.3 litespeed extension being installed is not the same thing as running on LiteSpeed. What I'd wager this is related to isn't specific to that ticket at all but issues with the Litespeed Caching plugin for Wordpress which was recently updated. Do you have the plugin installed?

Ok, what's in the php error log as I requested before? Also if you need an immediate resolution to this issue I'd suggest opening a ticket with our support department as there is not guaranteed to be someone here 24/7 as there is with our technical support department.
