Hello I am setting up a new 80g server. I have seen the recommended settings in the cpanel documantation for an 80g drive. Do you see any reason why the below setting would be necessary. The company hosting the server says these settings have bee tested many times and is what they recommend.
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/hda5 7.9G 297M 7.2G 4% /
/dev/hda1 122M 14M 102M 13% /boot
/dev/hda6 15G 9.9G 4.1G 72% /home
/dev/hda7 1012M 34M 927M 4% /tmp
/dev/hda2 20G 2.9G 16G 16% /usr
/dev/hda3 9.9G 740M 8.7G 8% /var
/tmp 1012M 34M 927M 4% /var/tmp
none 502M 0 502M 0% /dev/shm
As you can see I am already running out of space in /home, but have a lot of unused space in other partitions. Also I do not see an area for backup. Any recommedations or explanations are greatly appreciated.
If I have to add another drive can it be set as 1 partition as /home2 and if In understand correctly all extra in home will just automatically go to /home2?
