Retry Time Out (Exim)

Hi,

Whenever i am trying to send a mail out that mail gets bounced back.

and i get an error as :-

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

[email protected]
retry time not reached for any host after a long failure period


domain xxxx.com is not hosted on my server.

is there is anything i can do to over come this problem?

As with all email sending issues through exim you need to tail the exim mainlog when you do so and watch for errors/messages:

tail -f /var/log/exim_mainlog
(on Linux)
