Hi,

My server went down this morning. I can't submit a support ticket, because my hostname does not resolve, and it says my server ip does not match the support access ID.

I can not even ping my main server IP. Already confirmed with the datacentre that nothing is wrong on their side. I can access the server via their provide remote control system.

I have run /scripts/upcp --force and it completed successfully, but the server is still unavailable.

I am lost, please help urgently.

Thank you!

Hello @nelwa,

Can you confirm if any firewall management utilities or custom firewall rules are enabled on the system that could be blocking access to the server?

Thank you.

Hi @cPanelMichael, I needed to service network restart as well as service ipaliases restart - then everything seemed to come up, but my server time has been out since then.

I have made sure rdate is installed, port 37 is unblocked for tcp & udp, incoming and outgoing. when I ping rdate.cpanel.net I get: name or service not known. How can I fix this?

Further more, my SSH connection constantly shows info on Firewall requests that are blocked - how can I remove this from my ssh session?

Please help - I've been on the road for a couple of days, but am available 24/7 now to sort this issue...

Hello @nelwa,

Are you able to open a support ticket now that the server is responding again? If so, can you open a ticket and post the ticket number here?

Thank you.

Hello,

To update, it looks like the issue was addressed through a restart of the rsyslog service:

Code:
/scripts/restartsrv_rsyslog --restart
Thank you.
