Hello :)

Internal case CPANEL-4077 is open to address an issue where, after upgrading to cPanel version 54, resellers are unable to create subdomain accounts of their domain. I will update this thread with more information as it becomes available.

Thank you.

Thanks. Can you confirm that this issue has been given a high priority (considering it effectively stops cPanel resellers from creating new accounts)?

The issue has been resolved, but the changes must go through testing before the fix is released to the public. I'll update this thread with more information on the time frame of the resolution as soon as that information is available.

Thank you.

According to WHM, "Edge" builds are for "Application development and testing only" so cPanel doesn't recommend using the version with the resolution on a live production server, correct?

That's correct, and the "Edge" tier also recently switched to the development version of cPanel 56. It's advised to wait for this version to reach additional build tiers on production environments.

Thank you.

I have a reseller account. For my own reason beside a few accounts/clients with unique domains, I want to create a few accounts/clients which using as domain client1.example.tld, client2.example.tld etc. After creating the "client1" account, I receive a error message "(XID 5fnzyq) The domain “client2.example.tld” may not be created by “[reseller]” because “example.tld” is already owned by another user".

How can I jump this limitation?

The server needs to have "Allow cPanel users to create subdomains across accounts" setting enabled in WHM / Tweak Settings. If you only have access to the server as a reseller you will need to ask your host to enable this for you.
