What should I backup before CentOS upgrade?

I'm using a virtual server via GoDaddy and my server has an upgrade available to the latest CentOS.

GoDaddy's documentation states that the upgrade will reprovision the server and delete all data on the drive.

I already backed up all the "accounts" in WHM and am downloading them to my local machine for safekeeping.

Are there any other config files for WHM or anything else I should save? I'm just nervous that I'll forget something important before the upgrade.

If there's a "before you upgrade, do this" list, I'd love to see it.

There is. Instead of backing up, downloading, updating server, rebuilding all your server configurations and settings, and then uploading all accounts to restore them, which would include downtime somewhere in this chain of events, purchase a new server that is already up to date.
- Configure the server to your needs, duplicating how your current server is set up.
- Setup a DNS Cluster between the two:

- Use WHM to transfer accounts directly from one server to the other.

The above is over simplified of course, but you're not in a rush to do this, take your time and look into it proper first.
