hi when I opened the ticket earlier today for support, i click on prepare server, then a small popup window opens but does nothing.. waited around 2-3 mins and nothing. so i added my ticket. if remember this is usually the popup to give access to server which in my case did not happen and i got an email from a support tech to go to WHM and click on allow access for them after.

is this an issue on my end cache?
or is this an issue on cPanel side ?
just wondering

Thanks Spiro

Hey hey! It sounds like a browser issue as I haven't seen any other reports of this today. Can you try clearing the cache/history to see if that takes care of it?
sure I will try this a little later to check it since I have still the support request open.

thanks will report back

OK I was able to get it to show up after trying again,

The ONLY Issue: The popup is unsecure... https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/

So I wish they could add our hostnames instead of IP address that are secured with SSL Certs when clicking on Prepare Server.

because it takes us to unsecured error from chrome or any other browser. then we have to click on allow unsecure site, and add our personal information to login to WHM without a SSL cert for that page.

- If you were able to make that popup our Hostname we could login securely with HTTPS SSL cert for WHM.

The Only workaround which is another few steps, is not clicking on that Prepare Server and returning to our WHM via hostname securely and clicking on Home > Support > Grant Cpanel Support Access

but it would be nice to not have to login via non secure page ( our IP address and make it hostname instead.)

Thanks again
Spiro

I was only able to reproduce this on my end if I was accessing the server with the IP address to begin with. If I access the server with https://hostname:2087, the popup also has the hostname. If I access WHM through the IP address, the popup is also insecure. It's just reading the session data from your WHM session and using that URL.
