I am currently configuring backups through WHM and am wondering if it is possible with the default backup configuration to include having daily backups storing only locally as well as a monthly backup that is sent to an S3 Bucket.
Hey there! Sure - just make sure you choose the "Retain Backups in the Default Backup Directory" option in WHM >> Backup Configuration and they'll stay local as well.
Ok, just wanted to make sure because I only need that one monthly Backup in the s3 Bucket not all the daily as well. Saw an old forum post from a while back saying it wasn't possible so wanted to see if that had changed appreciate it.
What you wouldn't be able to do is specify how many get retained at each location, as you'll end up with the same number in both places. If you'd like some more advanced backup options, JetBackup is a great tool that fully integrates with cPanel & WHM.
