WHM restore for a site not working

We had bad malware with one of the sites and ended up terminating the account to start fresh. I didn't know I could restore from WHM so all day today I've been searching but I've come to the point, I need to ask the experts.

I went in through SSH to verify the WHM backup is still there and there is (seven days' worth). A little over 3GB per backup but even though I used the restore function through WHM and is in pending status, nothing has happened for over an hour; and it's now been over four hours so I'm assuming this isn't working for some reason.

As far as I can see for the website I'm trying to restore, the files and directories are the same barebones (cgi-bin) folder and structure. I don't think anything is happening. The disk space we have is 31% full if that matters (out of 120GB).

Or am I missing something from this WHM backup?

Hey there! I'm not entirely sure what I am looking at with that screenshot. Is that supposed to be a backup file of some sort? Can you get me some more context?

Okay, I was doing this all wrong and had to get assistance from Host Gator.

But, I was not in the "File and Directory Restoration" and once I clicked on the user, did "Browse files and directories", selected the backup file that was available in the root folder and hit Restore, everything came back up before the malware attack.

This can be closed
